The menu offers one-touch access to essential functions including tare, zero, unit switching (g, mg, lb, oz, ozt, dwt, ct, etc.), and built-in applications such as simple weighing, piece counting, percent weighing, and dynamic/animal weighing (density determination supported via the under-pan hook). The typical stabilization time is approximately 3.5–5 seconds, balancing precision with practical throughput.

Durability is a key attribute: the balance housing is a die-cast aluminum alloy frame with a chemical-resistant coating, protecting internal electronics from spilled reagents or corrosive powders. A three-glass-panel removable draft shield​ (effective height 237 mm) allows easy sample access and thorough cleaning to prevent cross-contamination. The circular stainless-steel weighing pan (Ø80 mm) is easy to wipe down, and a transparent plastic protective cover is included for the balance body. An RS-232C interface​ (Sub-D 9-pin) enables direct connection to printers, PCs, or LIMS for automatic data capture with date/time and calibration status—critical for regulated laboratory documentation.

Compact (245 × 321 × 344 mm) yet robust, the AB304-S/FACT represents a time-tested solution where reliable 0.1 mg resolution, automated calibration assurance, and rugged lab-grade construction are required.
